Handler enjoyed a pleasant and healthy life living in a posh neighborhood. When she was 19, Handler moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Handler began her career as an actress in order in order to help her. Her ability to tell stories was uncovered as she reached 21. Handler then decided to make a full-time commitment to stand-up comedy. Handler started her career by becoming a member of the female-only Oxygen group, who was a part of a television show named Girls Behaving Badly. This series was known for its hidden camera and practical joke. The reality series was on from 2002 to 2005. The host began to appear on different shows such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler has also worked as the correspondent of The Tonight Show. Handler made her breakthrough in 2006 when she hosted her E! show. called The Chelsea Handler Show. The show ran for two seasons. Handler followed this up by doing a show on Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour and within the United States. The stand-up shows she has performed were telecast by VH1 and Comedy Central's Premium Blend as well as HBO. Her name was chosen to host the MTV's 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. Roseanne was the first female ever to host VMAs.
